Grand Hotel De Rose - Scalea

Lovely views from our Double Room. The pool area felt a bit neglected, needing some upkeep.

It was an exceptionally comfortable and absolutely charming place to stay with great value. The staff members were all competent and extremely friendly. Particularly good and stunning location, London Heathrow airport was 1 km away. The hotel was a holiday base for enjoying a beach area. The restaurant was great for breakfast and lunch😃

Staff is competent and you can park your car on site. It has marvellous location just off a private beach, and Calabria.

The sea view from the balcony is fine. It offers a picturesque backdrop to start your day. The renovated bathroom adds a fresh touch to an otherwise dated decor.

The rooms lack sufficient electrical sockets was nice. There are significant cleanliness issues, with corners that haven't seen a dusting in ages. Plus, the noise from the old TV and AC units can be quite disruptive.

Helpful service from the staff. The food was great and the staff was helpful! Particularly good and fantastic location, only a short distance to everywhere.

The location, near the sea, with a private beach and near Scalea, a lovely Italian old city. Yje accomodation is good and the stafff is friendly.

Wonderful hip new hotel, awesome views, amazing location on the north Calabria Tyrrhenian coast. The rooms where clean and the staff was nice. Good breakfasts with toast, fruit, bacon, and cheese. Location really close to Scalea and the surrounding area, and the private beach.

Beds were dirty.

1. very poor restaurant- meals were very international taste=whithout local tradiction, served cool /fished seemed to be warm up :{/ The wine was to warm, that was a problem with peper, oil /only one kind in a very poor quality/ and so, so.... The waiders were dressed to officialy according to the standard they produce /black suit and bow tie and simple tablescape with very limited glasses, slightly worn tellers :{/ 2. very poor English as 4stars hotel :{ 3. there are some rooms with the brick wall 3m before your window

Lovely sea view rooms

The view to the sea is great, and the garden is carefully tended.

The hotel is in need of a general refurbishing; the interior decor is gloom and doesn't fit with a hotel by the sea. We don' t recommend it to people who enjoy silence and calm: besides the natural noise of people down in the beach, the activities around the swimming pool -with loud music and aerobics etc- were quite irritating.

the bathroom could use some upgrading, but the pool and private beach access were awesome! the location is super convenient, just a quick walk from the town center. even got to book a boat ride with stunning views!

Staff was excellent. View was good.

Jacuzzi should be heated . . .we know this may seem strange for an Italian hotel but an unheated jacuzzi is just weird

It's an old hotel but is clean and in excellent state and has a long history and has a really nice fresh but lived-in (and enjoyed) feeling.

Extremely busy beaches full of private sections.
